Stick Weaving- My first attempt!
Super fun and easy! Stick weaving is new to me, and appeases my need for instant gratification...I created this during the intense overtime periods of the Canucks game lastnight!I used one skien of my handspun yarn...a blend of my hand dyed merino, cotswold, leicester, & some shiny bits and commercial stuff spun in there too.

Meet Winston, my first FURGOTTEN BEAR needle felted re-creation

Furgotten Bears is the name of my new line of bears. I have decided to use my art to help minimize the impact on our landfills. I now go on the hunt for unwanted, abandoned bears, and clean them up and give them an extreme make-over. I needle felt a whole new art bear from the old one. This gives each bear a new unique second chance to bring joy to someones life! Watch for my Etsy store opening soon!

Needle Felted Brown Bear
My friend Vikki was very happy to receive one of my needle felted bears for her daughter, who just became a big sister! Brynn, who is 6 years old, asked what my last name was, and that is what she named her bear! How adorable is that? This is Nasby , the silly little bear.

New Needle Felted Critter
Ever since the clever use of the term "SQUIRREL" in the movie UP, it has been an ongoing joke amongst my friends. We use it to represent any type of distraction at work...lets say for example; a hot guy. One will yell Squirrel, and the whole lot of us will look up from whatever we are doing...strickingly similar to the dogs from the movie! It's hilarious! So this little guy will always bring a smile to my face. (even though he looks more like a chipmunk lol)

Naraygon The Dragon
Hello, and welcome to my blog!
I hope you will find some inspiration here. I am always up to something!
This is one of my first 3D needle felted art sculptures. My photography skills do not capture all of his beauty and detail. He was so fun to make, and quite a challenge. His name is derived from a combination of my two children's names.
Nathan & Raya. Thanks for looking!
